A Nutcracker Christmas
Durham University Hill Orchestra’s Christmas concert celebrates classical ballet, with seasonal highlights including Petr Ilych Tchaikovsky’s suite from The Nutcracker and the ‘Troika’ from Sergei Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé.
The programme also includes Prokofiev’s ‘Montagues and Capulets’ from Romeo and Juliet, the finale from Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird and some pieces from small ensembles
For extra joy, the orchestra will also be serving a free mince pie and drink – it is the season of giving after all!
