St Oswald’s Church
St Oswald’s Church is one of the oldest in Durham and is a lovely setting for concerts. If you’re attending a concert at St Oswald’s, there is metered parking along Church Street (free in the evenings). There are two entrances, on the North and South sides of the buildings – they aren’t both always open, so try the other one if you can’t get in!
The organ by Peter Collins was restored in 2019 is at the west end of the church – something worth bearing in mind if you’re planning a concert with organ accompaniment. There is also a grand piano.
